.NET Framework 2.0 is not installed on Windows 8 Developer Preview by default. To install it, go to Control Panel – Programs – Turn Windows features on or off – Check ‘Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.1’ – OK. Note, that .NET Framework 2.0 is included into version 3.5.
